Just 'believe'

So, 'tis the season' again...

Christmas commercialism came nice and early, again...Black Friday was booming and that just so happened to be the day we decided to go pick up our photos from Macey's..oi..it looked like New York on a Sunday,(Sunday 'cuz that means there is less people than usual) but still, a lot of people...

I for one like Santa and the gang, but I HATE all the fuss...
Now Santa and even Jesus have/are being replaced with blow-up snowmen, and Styrofoam penguins!!
Lynn Baird did a great message on the birth of Jesus last sat. and I have been wanting from that to keep Jesus in mind instead of Santa or the snowmen.
and let's face it, we live in the sunny golden state! there is no snow to be seen around till u go up north!

another thing that really bugs me, (maybe someone can give me the name I can't think of it right now) is the belief in believing..that seems like that's all the new Christmas songs are about! another thing w/ commercialism, even I, the hater of all the fuss, have been tuning in ALL MONTH LONG to 'kost 103.5, LA and OC's official holiday music station' (i even have the stupid tune stuck in my head) so in all the songs it's all about just believing. Doesn't seem to matter what it is, just believe... and that is really bugging...

if I haven't gotten my few points across let me just tell u, I love the holidays don't get me wrong, but don't get too caught up in the hubbub of the holidays, and remember what it's really all about...

On a somewhat brighter note, we got two girls in our family! Ileanna and Angel are their names and they are staying w/ us because of a desperate situation they were in. I'll get more info about the subject on here l8r..
(side note: speaking of commercialism, the name Angel is just kinda well.. u get it.....:P)

alright, well my grandma is coming today so that should be fun, I'll write again sometime soon...
Until then, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Ben

"Just 'believe'!"--Exactly what I've been hearing as well. I think the term for that is "fideism" from the latin for faith.

Anyways, I went to Downtown Disney today, so that was cool. Have fun with your grandma!
